Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Wow! I won't post any spoilers but I was very pleased with the book. It lives up to the hype, it wraps up every loose end in the series, and is very satisfying. I especially like the climactic battle(s) and the Epilogue.

I'm just sad that it's the last book. Oh, Jo, please change your mind and write more!

Isn’t the statement that there is an Epilogue a spoiler, albeit a minor one? I know I wouldn’t have wanted to know that ahead of time, myself. But then again, I’m extremely sensitive to spoilers. :)

Oops! Well, I guess it IS a bit of a spoiler, but then most people who are reading the book probably read the Table of Contents.

I'm like you: I didn't read the Table of Contents because when I did that while reading book 6 and saw a chapter titled "Phoenix Lament" I knew who was going to die.

Absolutely! I never, ever read the TOC in advance, but had I in Book 6, I would have been very, very (and again, I say, very) disappointed. It reminds of me of when I got the soundtrack to Star Wars: Episode I before I saw the movie. I think I can reveal a spoiler from that eight-year old movie, can’t I? There’s a track on the soundtrack called “Qui-Gon’s Noble End”. What the hell, John Williams?! Thanks a lot!!
